Lynne Ashbeck is the longest-serving member of the Clovis City Council, first elected in March 2001 and re-elected every term since, including in 2024, with a current term running through November 2028; she has served three terms as Mayor, most recently from 2022 to 2024. Before her council service, she served on the Clovis Personnel Commission and chaired the Clovis Planning Commission. She works as Senior Vice President and Chief Community Impact Officer at Valley Children’s Healthcare and is a registered dietitian, holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Fresno State and a further master’s in peacemaking and conflict studies from Fresno Pacific University. She serves as Vice Chair of the Fresno County Transportation Authority and on the governor-appointed California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley, and has received distinguished alumni honors from both Fresno Pacific and Fresno State along with a Fresno County Public Health Hero award.
