Brian Pacheco represents District 1 on the Fresno County Board of Supervisors, first elected in 2015 and re-elected unopposed in 2022. A fourth-generation family farmer, his family’s dairy has run more than 1,300 Holstein and Brown Swiss cows and been recognized as a top-producing herd in Fresno County every year since 1998, alongside grape, almond, and forage crop operations. A Kerman High School graduate with a degree in agricultural and managerial economics from UC Davis, he served 12 years on the Kerman Unified School District Board of Trustees, chaired the Fresno County Farm Bureau, and served as board president of California Dairies, Inc., the nation’s second-largest dairy cooperative.
In 2025, Pacheco joined fellow Supervisor Luis Chavez in opposing a board policy requiring advance approval for discretionary spending at community events, calling the requirement a form of censorship; the debate arose amid broader disagreement on the board over tightened spending oversight that LGBTQ advocates said was targeting their events. His District 1 seat is being contested by Fresno City Council President Mike Karbassi in the 2026 election.
